Welcome to our new surgery website – we hope you find it useful

Quote / Testimonial:
Our Practice is highly patient focused and we have a multidisciplinary approach to patients’ health care. We aim to deliver the best for our patients by combining the skills of the practice team with other health and social care workers in the community.

We provide modern health care facilities and focus on continually improving the health of our patients and residents of the community.
This website is aimed at providing you the important information about our practice, our services and our staff in addition to some other useful information and tools available for you to use. Please have a look around and send us any comments or suggestions if you like. We can use your comments and ideas to improve our online services and develop the content of this site accordingly.

A ‘healthy lifestyle’ is what we recommend:
– Stop smoking
– Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg
– Exercise regularly
– Keep alcohol intake within recommended limits

We would like to inform you that the GP in this practice does not prescribe antibiotics for infections which usually get better on their own such as colds and flu. We would recommend you visit your pharmacist for advice if you are suffering from these sorts of conditions.

Local and NHS services

The surgery works in partnership with local and NHS service providers and groups.

If you can’t get an appointment with your GP or can’t get there during the day due to work or other commitments you can use the Enhanced Access Service.

Sunderland offers extra appointments seven days a week at your local out of hours site, alternatively it may be possible to arrange an appointment at another site across the city which your practice will arrange.

NHS 111 & Emergencies
111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life threatening emergency, please dial 999
